Roma Trio treats The Four Seasons as material for reconstruction rather than a sequence to be played intact; the label’s notes say melody, harmony and rhythm are all fair game.
The trio even rebuilds Vivaldi’s twelve movements into a different twelve-track shape, leaving out Summer’s storm and dividing Autumn’s slow movement in two.
Hear both
The classical side contains only the source pieces used on the album, in album order. The jazz side presents the complete album whenever a dependable copy can be embedded.
Tracks 7 and 8 split the Adagio molto from Vivaldi’s Autumn into two themes, so one recording covers both. Every other track has one recording in album order; the album omits the finale of Summer entirely.
