This 1965 LP first appeared under the livelier title Bach Street, with a companion album called Haendel with Care. More than half a century and numerous reissues later, it resurfaced digitally as the plainer Bach Jazz.

Raymond Guiot’s flute and Michel Hausser’s vibraphone front a rhythm section of Guy Pedersen and Daniel Humair. The result resembles Jacques Loussier meeting the Modern Jazz Quartet, but with the flute occupying the space where a piano might normally sit.
