This was Herdzin’s first album as a leader, recorded in 1995 when he was still at the beginning of a career that would range across jazz, arranging and orchestral conducting.
He has since described every album as carrying the stamp of the moment in which it was made, which makes this early encounter with Chopin especially revealing.
