Schinkel refuses the obvious greatest-hits route: the Fifth is represented by its third movement rather than the four-note opening, and the Eroica by its Scherzo.

Indigo String Quartet lets the project retain something of Beethoven’s string texture while the trio changes the rhythm underneath it.
